I am very recently struck by the fact that my son knows "things" that I don't know he knows. For instance, last night I was laying in his bed with him and we were singing songs. I decided to sing "Jesus Loves Me" to him and he joined right in! I thought he might know parts of the song, but he knew all the words and continued to sing it several times.

Noah has also started this habit of talking about his grandparents right before going to sleep (Nana, Dooda, Grammy, and Papo). The other night he was spouting their names and I said "Let's say a prayer for our grandparents". He clapped his hands together and started saying,
"God is great, God is good, let us thank him for our pood (food)"
There is a second verse that goes something like this (from what I could understand)
"By His hands we are fed, Thank you for our daily bread"
This next part caught me by surprise (and gave me quite a chuckle)
In Jesus name, Amen.
Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Hallelujah, Jesus, Jesus
I --- Love --- Jesus!!! YEA (there are hand and arm movements and cheering)
He proceeded to say this prayer 3 times before I told him we needed to pray with Daddy (I thought Cesar really needed to hear it). I'm going to try to get it on video, but you know how that works...he doesn't do his tricks on command!

This morning at 5:30am Noah woke up crying and Cesar went in to his room. He was out of bed and walking towards the door. Cesar asked if he was okay and he said "I pall out beh". Cesar put him back in bed and said lets go back to sleep and he said "No sleep" and started snoring. I asked him when he got up for the day if he fell out of bed and he said yes and pointed over the side of the bed and giggled. Thank goodness he doesn't have far to fall. (His bed is a mattress and box spring on the floor).

Cesar and I have a Jack Vettriano Print on the wall in our room. It's called Dance Me to the End of Love" (I think). There are two figures, male and female, dancing in fog on what looks like a beach to me. Noah will point to it and say "Daddy, Mama. Where Wowah?" He has realized that he is part of the family unit and that he is missing from the picture! Of course if you walk into the family room the wall looks like a Noah Gallery and you start to wonder if the kid on the wall has parents. Where Daddy and Mama? Ha!
**********
Some words as Noah pronounces them:
Pood (food)
Pinger (finger)
Pea Pan (Peter Pan)
Be Carful (Be Careful)
Duhn Pall (Don't fall)
I do it (self explanatory)

Fun with Grammy...

Grammy came up this weekend so that Cesar and I could go to a charity function for work. Noah had a blast playing with his Grammy. He kept telling her "Come on, come on". He loves to have visitors! His cousin (2nd cousin) also came over to visit on Sunday night. He LOVES to see Momo (Moni). Enjoy the pictures of our little cutie! He is getting quite the little personality. He has his very own definite likes and dislikes. Right now he would be content to watch "Chicken Little" over and over again...just ask Grammy!

- Noah has used his little potty a handful of times, but really shows no interest AT ALL! He is entirely too busy to stop and use a potty.
- He loves to pretend that he is a little froggy jumping around saying "wihbiht-wihbiht".
- Noah randomly mentions his Dooda and his Papo, usually when he is going to bed.
- He has become quite the pizza eater.
- Noah is quite bossy and will give you an earful if you "deserve" a good talking to. He is great at using his index finger for emphasis.
- He loves to stand in front of the mirror and make faces and sounds at himself. He is quite the actor.
- Noah is starting to recognize and mimic emotions...sad, happy, etc.
- He can count to 20 with only a few unrecognizable numbers in the teens.
- One of his newer ideas is to take all the couch cushions off and jump from the couch onto them over and over and over...great fun!

Random Pictures from the past few months...
Cutie Posing in his Buzz and Woody Shirts
Mommy and Noah
Well I've not been very good at keeping up with posting shots of Noah. I cannot promise to be better, but I can promise to try. These pictures are from playing in the backyard, Easter, a Houston trip, and just hanging out at home. Hope you enjoy. I will make every effort to get some from our May Disney Trip up here soon! Hope all is well with everyone!
Love,
Cesar, April, Noah, and Frankie

Noah's new word list...
So Noah is a little chatter box. He will pretty much repeat anything that you ask him to. Here are a few phrases that Noah says regularly along with his pronunciation:
Tee Wah-yer Paul (See waterfall) - There is a water fall on the way to school that he likes looking at.
U petty Bankie (Your so pretty Frankie) - We are trying to encourage talking to Frankie, rather than high pitch screaming at him.
Two mouse (Two Mickey Mouse) - This means get my two Mickey mouse's for me...He still won't say Mickey.
No Mama - This a standard and requires no translation!
A Whoooo - This sounds like it is spelled and took a while to figure out. This means he wants me to hold him and spin around until we are both dizzy. I usually make some kind of sound like "whoooo" while spinning.
Tuptake (Cupcake) - He started asking for these at the most random times. This started after his birthday.
Melmo an Montehr (Elmo and Monster) - He has two figures, Elmo and Cookie Monster, that he carries around to play with.
Dadd-EE - He now says Daddy sometimes instead of Dada.
Ah poop - This is an indication that he has or will....
Whoa-ah (Noah) - This is what he calls himself.
Muhlk (Milk) - No longer Tuck-AH...kind of sad!
Bankie (Blankie or Frankie) - No longer Meow! You must listen to the context of the request to determine the meaning of the word.
Cacker, pees (Crackers, please) - This could also mean cookie please. Cracker and cookie seem to be interchangeable.
Dada Car, Mama Car - He says this and points to the respective car.
Buhh and Weedy (Buzz and Woody) - He really likes the movies Toy Story and Toy Story 2.
Teeck Tock (Tick Tock) - This is a clock on the wall or a wrist watch.
Tee Mouse, Tee WokWok (See Mickey Mouse, See Rocket) - This means I want to watch Mickey Mouse or Little Einstein's - Rocket is a character on that cartoon.
Mama Wock, Dada Wock (Mama Rock, Dada Rock) - He picks who rocks him to sleep some nights.
Mama Beh (Mama's Bed) - Indicating that he would like to come to our bed...sometimes we hear this in the middle of the night over the monitor.
Things that Noah likes: his family (uncles, grandparents, great aunts and uncles, Leah, Moni), veggie pizza, muffins, CUPCAKES, apple juice, chicken fingers, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti, ravioli, tortellini, hummus, crackers, chips, salsa, bread and olive oil, ice cream, bananas, fruit smoothies, WAFFLES, blowing bubbles, sliding down slides, watching select movies, rolling around on the floor with Mommy and Daddy, petting Frankie, an open sun roof in the car, taking a walk, playing with his toys, looking at Disney.com on the computer, being in Mommy's bed....the list could go on forever!
