Funny Guy...

Noah was just full of new things this weekend. We went on a trip to Old Navy after church to get him some long sleeve shirts and he was running around the store like a little maniac! Mid run he would fall down on the floor, look at you and say "Uh-Oh". He would then laugh, get up, and start the whole process over again. We let him pick something out at the store and he chose a robot dog chew toy...think he is teething?

No, no, no....

Noah is now the new Frankie disciplinarian in the house. Today he started telling Frankie "No, no, no" and shaking his finger at him. Apparently I do this to Frankie and Noah picked it up? Poor Frankie, half the time he is not even doing anything wrong!

Visitors...

Dooda visited for his birthday the weekend of September 9th. Noah had a good time maxin' and relaxin' with Dooda. Aunt Suzan came to spend the night that weekend too (she took this picture). Cesar and I got to go out by ourselves! WOW!

Grammy and Josh visited the next weekend. Noah just adores his uncles. We were able to celebrate Josh's birthday a little early with him (its actually on the 24th) at the Rain Forest Cafe. Noah was interested in all the electronic animals, but they made him a little nervous at the same time!

The next weekend we went to visit friends in College Station for Miss Ainsley's 1st Birthday party. A good time was had by all. We got to see the Lanes, the Johnstons, and the Porters! Noah and Jacob played with all the toys in Jacob's new playroom.

Two weeks later on October 14th, Nana came to visit. We went to have Noah's pictures made with Shelby. Noah was not too excited about getting his pictures taken. I had to bribe him with M&Ms and it still didn't go too well. You win some you lose some! He did however have a really good time with "the Nana"! Nana and I even got his bathroom painted and decorated in the safari/jungle theme.

Tonight my Aunt Suzan and Uncle Neal drove through San Antonio on their way to Colorado, so we had a nice dinner with them. No visitors planned for this weekend, but come November the "holiday season" and traveling starts!

Lazy Weekend...

Such a helper

Mickey, Mickey, and Frankie

The Family...
The Ontiveros family had a very lazy weekend. It was GREAT (especially after the week we had...my car was broken into and my laptop stolen...no need to dwell on that one)! Cesar and I watched some movies and caught up on some TV show we had taped, Noah watched some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and read books, and Frankie got plenty of lap-time. We even managed to get some cleaning and laundry in! Noah helped Daddy shred some paper on Saturday. He is such a good helper.

Some Noah tidbits...
Noah new favorite word is "Book". He is really into books by the author Sandra Boynton. His two favorites lately are "Hippos go Berserk" and "Barnyard Dance". It is very common to read each book at least 5 times in one evening after bath time.

There is at least one word that he uses quite often and we cannot figure out where it came from. He says "Tuck-AH" for the work milk. And he is very persistent and adamant when he says it over and over again. BUT if you say it back to him he looks at you like you are a crazy babbling fool! If you say milk he shakes his head yes.

Noah is going to be Mickey Mouse for Halloween this year. He LOVES to watch Mickey Mouse Playhouse on the Disney Channel. He looks at you and says "Mouw" when he wants to watch it (kind of sounds like his version of meow, so you really have to be aware of context!). I found his mouse ears from our Disney trip last year and gave them to him. When we went to Disney he was only 8 mos old and not terribly interested, but now he thinks they are the coolest thing! I'll post more pictures in his costume when it get here. We are planning on going to ZooBoo on Monday (10/30) with some friends. The San Antonio Zoo has a Halloween party for the kids. Should be fun!

Time to start blogging...

Seems that the Ontiveros family needs a way to update our friends and family! We are jumping on the blog band wagon. Can't promise that Cesar or I will update it daily, but we can shoot for weekly!

Lets see...We are both still with H-E-B. Cesar recently received a promotion and is in the process of interviewing applicants for an assistant (which he really needs!). I have been given the official title of Manufacturing Project Manager and I now actually have a job description that reflects what I am doing!

Noah is in transition this week and will be moving up to the next classroom on Monday. He will no longer be a Wobbly Walker...not sure what the new name will be. He is really into Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the Disney Channel. In fact, he is going to be Mickey for Halloween this year. He will be sporting his costume at ZooBoo. The San Antonio Zoo has an event every year with games and such at Halloween. This year will be our first time to go and we are pretty excited!

More later....
