Christmas 2006...

The Ontiveros Family Christmas:

Nana (my mom) came up on Friday, December 22. Dooda and my grandparents came up on Saturday while we (Cesar, Nana, Noah, and I) visited my other grandparents, Aunt, and Uncle in Temple. Travis got in around 1:30AM on Sunday morning due to the delays in Denver. Cesar's parents, Carlos, and Joshua also came up Saturday night. We all had Christmas Eve dinner together on Sunday. I did not get any pictures with Cesar's family since I was cooking, but I'm sure my dad did, so I will post those later. They are coming up this weekend for New Year's also, so I will put our new camera to use (thanks Dad!).

Noah was the source of all entertainment this Christmas. He was in awe of all the lights and presents. He did well in church on Christmas Eve too (he was asleep for half of the service!).

Below are a few of the highlights!

Noah coloring with Great-grandma Bernice. She always colored with me when I was little too.

Frankie getting turkey giblets from Grandmeowmy (Nana).

The crew waiting for the Prince to wake on Christmas morning!

Dooda, GG (short for Great-grandma), and Grandpa

Noah's discovery of the kitchen set.

Noah making something for Mommy to eat later in the day.

Noah coloring his new Mickey Mouse coloring book.

Noah, still coloring (this is one of the new favorite things to do!).

Noah playing with the BIG truck that Uncle Travis gave him.

Awe, isn't she cute? (Uncle Travis posing for the camera)

Cesar got an iPod...and has been playing with it for days. I think he has loaded every cd he own.

Dooda...forever behind the camera.

Nana, maxin' and relaxin'.

Noah checking out a new Mickey Mouse video.

Family Picture (Noah is having a snack).

Listening to Daddy's iPod.

Yay! Watch me ride my new bike! Tank to, Nana! (Thank you, Nana!)

Christmas Cards...

We just ordered Christmas cards last night...I know a bit late! Better late than never though. Below was the first attempt at a family picture before church yesterday. Comedy!
Here are a few of Noah hanging an ornament. We thought if we could not get a family picture than one of Noah would have to do!

It's a boy...

So, Noah is definitely a boy (according to stereotypes anyway)! Here is the proof:

1. Last night while getting slathered with lotion, Noah stuck his fingers in his ears, yelled "BAHBAHBAH!", then promptly stuck his fingers in his mouth. Eating earwax must have been just hilarious, because he started laughing so hard.
2. Tonight during his bath, Noah fluffed really loud...I mean this was a cheek clapper. He turned and looked behind him and started laughing really hard.
3. He is fascinated with his nipples (we call them chi-chis). During bath again tonight, he would not leave them alone. He was pointing and laughing and then started pulling on them....BOYS!

That about covers is for now. I'm sure that girls do things like this too, but it is just so stereotypically boy.

Holiday Spirit...

Last Friday (December 1), we went to Bracken (about 15 minutes from the house) for their "Dickens Christmas". A friend told us about it and this was the last weekend. Anyway since it is actually cold outside, it felt more Christmas-y and they were all decorated with lights, carolers, horse drawn carriages, hot cocoa...You get the point. Noah had a blast running around and he didn't seem to be scared of Santa. Of course he wouldn't take a picture by himself though! They have a bunch of cute boutique shops. Its very quaint. So this was our "Happy December" start to the Christmas season.

Noah has a program at school on Thursday (December 7, 7:00). His class is singing Jingle Bells. He does not sing the song, but claps and says "Yea!" a lot. It should be very interesting. My guess is that most of the kids will stand on the stage (at the front of the church) and cry. We will have it all on tape! I'll report in after the event.
